Guntis Tīrmanis, Bord Member of JSC “Latvijas kuģniecība” has resigned from the position as of October 6, 2009. With this the Management Board of the company will be comprised of four persons. President of JSC “Latvijas kuģniecība” Imants Sarmulis will continue as the Chairman of the Management Board, Andris Linužs,  First Vice-president of JSC “Latvijas kuģniecība”, Raivis Veckāgans, Vice-president of JSC “Latvijas kuģniecība”, and Ilva Purēna, Bord Member of JSC “Ventspils nafta” and Legal director.

Guntis Tirmanis has motivated his decision to resign by his 65th anniversary and his desire to reduce his business activities. Guntis Tirmanis has commenced to work in 1967 and up to 1989 has worked as the First mate and Captain.
