Joint Stock Company “Liepajas Metalurgs” confirms information in the mass media that officials of the State police Economic crime control department have carried out an inspection in the metallurgical company “Liepajas Metalurgs” and have expropriated a number of documents in relation to a criminal proceeding on possible illegitimate activity of executives implying embezzling of monetary resources and other assets of the company.

The company management denies squandering of monetary resources and other assets. It does not have any detailed information about the reason for starting of the criminal proceeding.

The criminal proceeding does not affect the financial situation of Joint Stock Company “Liepajas Metalurgs” but a negative impression is being created for the company that complicates addressing of various business related issues.
